Making a Dent

Heads are Turning...

Heads are Turning...

Yes! We are making a dent in the calloused shells of the media psychics out there! FORCE ONE is prying the lid off this slimy can of weasels and we are starting to make a difference. Despite the spamming maneuvers and several vicious death threats from those who know their days are numbered, it has come to the attention of the Skeptologist team that many of the bottom feeders who are the most egregious peddlers of woo are now beginning to run for cover. Our recent coded FORCE ONE operation has shown positive signs of success. We have just begun to fight. That’s right. Not only has Psychic Guy been forced to amend his phony on-line A&E resume, but Sylvia Browne is now officially cancelling Los Angeles “Final Tour ” extravaganzas. Final indeed…  We can only hope she crawls back to the rock she lived under before the 90’s and stays there.

Other people, who I need not mention but who are also getting “edgy” with the dawning of a more militant skepticism, are trying in vain to pin the tail on a fast-moving donkey that is hitting with guerrilla swiftness and planting the seeds of discontent deep within the most secure websites of woodom. We need to go viral and are working on those vectors. FORCE ONE has both short term and very long term plans in motion to cause big ripples in even the most placid pools of blissful flim-flam.

Dude, where's my Sylvia?

Dude, where's my Sylvia?

When the going gets tough and people start to come out of the woodwork with an incredibly horrifying spewing of their hatred at us, we must be doing something right.  Threats are piling up. I’m not sure any of the people here at Skepticblog really deserve all the vitriol being thrown our way, but I would like to thank the radical elements who are showing their true colors and giving us all a chance to read for ourselves the kind of knuckle-dragging cro mags that are so outraged by anyone who would ask for proof for any single one of the claims they are feeding on. It’s amazing really. We only want to help, but any questioning is being met with total overreaction and hostility. We must be touching a nerve of some prehistoric form of mortal blasphemy. So Mote it BE!

Family Values 2009?

Family Values 2009?

Wake up all you sleeping skeptical giants out there! Catch the wave and join in the fray. So far, the Internet shuddering has been a non-violent reaction and I can promise that those who are making the most violent threats against myself and others can expect to be visited upon by dark forces far more corporeal than the demons and ghosties their psychic gurus tell them are lurking over their shoulders.

The more heinous among these acomplices to fraud are performing illegal Internet applications. These actions shadow the blatant criminality practiced by their revered psychic mediums who are semi-protected by their handlers who keep them in the media spotlight. The cyber- henchmen believers are so fascinated with their quest for psychic “gifts” from The Other Side and so deluded in their obsession, they obey the woo with a charateristic zombie-like devotion. It’s some scary stuff folks. And just in time for Halloween…

Fortunately, the law provides stiff penalties for making threats against free thoughts or actions against thinking people who might choose to non-violently express those thoughts. Those who rail and promote violence against common sense critical thinking in matters of the paranormal – or anything else that doesn’t have some solid proof to back it up –  are just plain crazy people and absolute nut-bags. There’s no excuse for their maniacal bullying. In previous eras these miscreants might have been locked up in a rubber room.

We are not taking or planning any illegal actions or threatening physical harm to anyone.  As an adjunct to The Skeptologists, FORCE ONEsimply shines the light of scientific knowledge into neglected places where treacherous deceit and stupyfying ignorance are taking a terrible toll. If we cause any one of the phonies out there to think twice before making outrageous claims they know damn well they can’t back up with even a speck of solid evidence, those losers are going to find themeselves under a very powerful publicity microscope. It starts with a tiny committment to actually get out and do something. We are growing.

Yes, … and all this without having to boil a single frog on television.

Force One isn’t perchance led by someone bearing an uncanny resemblance to Patrick McGoohan, is it? Just in case, be on the lookout for someone bearing an uncanny resemblance to Michael Ironside.

  2. biopunk says:

Wait! I’m seeking THE TRUTH, but all I get from following the link is:

“The URL contained a malformed video ID.”

  3. MadScientist says:

“forced to append his phony on-line A&E resume” Do you mean “amend”? To append is to add onto something so I can’t help but wonder what Psychic Guy appended his phony resume to.

@Richard Smith: If it *is* Patrick McGoohan, he can apply for Randi’s Million Dollar Challenge. To date no claims of coming back from the dead have ever been corroborated by reliable witnesses; even Elvis’ resurrection has never been verified.

  4. Mark Edward says:

Thanks. I changed the Youtube address. My mistake. Missed it by that much…And it is amend – What was I thinking? Patrick is dead, but his spirit lives on: Hammer into Anvil.

  5. AUJT says:

Looks like there are newcomers looking to make a name for themselves within the fraudulent field of snake oil sales. Psychic detectives with claims that beg for research and verification.

I read the jab against Glenn Beck, then watch the brilliant video from Bullshit, and i can’t help but ask myself: Why is it that someone like Penn Jillette will continue to go on an idiot like Glenn Beck’s show? Politics makes strange bedfellows, I suppose…

    • Dennis Skala says:

Well, boiling a rubber frog sure attracted a bunch of attention. Maybe someone should consider boiling a rubber psychic.

Penn goes on the Beck show because except for religious issues, he has a lot in common with Beck. May I assume that you think Penn is an idiot as well?

      • Beelzebud says:

Yeah I think he’s so much of an idiot, I referred to his show as “brilliant”. Try to keep up.

Glenn Beck isn’t someone I’d expect a critical thinker, like Penn, to give stature to by going on his show. In fact, I think my original post was pretty easy to understand. I know they agree on libertarian politics, which is why I said “politics makes strange bedfellows”.

      • Pat in Montreal says:

I believe Glenn Beck is not an idiot… he’s nothing more than an ACTOR… he is putting on a show for nut jobs and wackos who drink it up and come for more.

I am sure the only “politics” and “religion” Beck ascribes to is lining his pockets with the tons of money whack jobs will give him to act like a clown.

    • Max says:

Maybe Penn and Mark can appreciate Glenn Beck’s magic trick with the frog.

    What? Where?

  8. AUJT says:

    “What? Where?”

Travis Saunders was one of the “Psychic Kids” on Chip Coffey’s TV show. He is *really* trying to capitalize on his appearance and came to Orlando with Gale St. John to psychically find Caylee Anthony. There’s a ten minute video of them driving around in a van getting “feelings”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImA_IT8YyIs&feature=player_embedded

    Travis’ sad silly site—> http://www.psychictravissanders.com/

And Robbie Thomas is trying to break into the big time—> http://www.robbiethomas.net/

    • Bob says:

      http://tspforum.tickie.net/index.php?topic=886.0

Psychic Robbie Thomas was called out on this message board for making claims he solved missing children cases.

      Here are the real facts!

I am very much interested in Psychics and psychic investigations. I do no deny that psychic ability is possible. What I find interesting is how psychics use high profile public cases to further their own careers.

So let’s start fresh and current-

Take a look at this video:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiT83ed3aTk

Channel 15 News from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Here we learn that there is a cold case being seriously looked at by America’s Most Wanted, the FBI and local law enforcement. The case went dry in 1988, with sporadic evidence played out throughout the years. Plenty of info for the psychics to draw from.

We also learn that there is a Paranormal Conference being held and Psychic Robbie Thomas is attending. Psychic Robbie Thomas has also promoted that he will be working on the cold case with Police – The Tinsley Murder.

      What is revealed is:

      1. The police are NOT using psychics on the case and are not using Robbie Thomas.

      2. Robbie Thomas indicates he is working with police, which the police deny.

      3. We learn in a post investigation conversation that Robbie Thomas has been in contact with the police several times, but they do not want any help.

      4. We learn that Robbie Thomas says he is in contact with the grieving family, but the family outright denies any contact with Robbie Thomas and say they have never heard of him before.

In the words of the reporter: “Very Interesting.”

  9. AUJT says:

Most tips that came in to the police regarding Caylee Anthony were from “psychics”. Looks like at least 1400 and NONE were helpful. —> http://www.docstoc.com/search/caylee-anthony-tips/

A TOTAL WASTE of investigative resources!

  10. AUJT says:

And Chip Coffey doesn’t even try to find missing persons as I’m sure that he knows that he cannot because he knows that what he does is fraudulent.

  11. paraskept says:

That Travis kid ugh makes me mad how dare he say certain missing people are dead- what BS, theres another page out there where a group of remote viewers/dreamers all get together and guess where/what happened to missing people, I won’t give the nut cases a link, or even mention the psycho’s name here, to some may not seem like a big deal, but if your loved one is missing it is…all the speculation is nothing short of down right cruel
Mark I hope that dent is a big one, if you need any help making it bigger count me in!

  12. ParanormalRanger says:

Let us not forget the fraud trainees that orbit around Coffey at the events, his right hand Babs and the blonde bimbo psycho Tiff. It would seem as though the Chipster is heading for cover and at the same time expanding on his psychic pyramid scheme. Guess if he can not continue in the limelight his discipiles can and will attempt to.
BTW, is Michele Barbiarz aka Babs (who is getting married by the way)if we are not mistaken, Babsipoo who now does an internet radio program with another alledged psychic Susie Boo, used to be a part of another tv paranormal star entourage, Patrick Burns? Does that mean she will be jumping ship to another paracelebrity in the near future if Coffey is finally exposed?

  13. Susan Gerbic says:

Wow what a jumble of names these people have. Babs, Susie and Tiff sounds like they are on a porno site not a paranormal site. Not that I would have that kind of knowledge….

  14. Lyle Raymond says:

    My concern is this:

    Hate mail is a fine indicator that you represent an enlightened minority;
but to really make a difference, you need to enter the mainstream.

When Oprah is interviewing Michael Shermer and Richard Dawkins is a frequent guest on the Today show, then we truly may claim victory.

  15. Blaine says:

Psychic Robbie Thomas has cancelled the 2009 Paracon and his cold case detective work. He is now going to sue the police because of bad publicity.

Psychic Robbie Thomas….is he for real?!

  16. Tony A. says:

As a psychologist I had to attend college for several years, read mountains of books, take endless tests, write a dissertation, and engage in continuing education to this day and beyond. Yet any fraud or nutcase can claim they are a psychic, charge a fee and maybe even get a lucrative TV gig without being subjected to a shred of accountability. It seems that the more outlandish the claim the less accountable they need be. It certainly is time we go after the charlatans out there and expose them for the fakes they are. Where do I sign up?
