One can still purchase the 7-disc collectors edition of Cosmos from the Skeptic Society, I think, as I did. When Cosmos first played, I was glued to the TV for each presentation, 13 of them, as I recall, amazed and fascinated, as were many/most of the people I knew. `Star stuff' indeed.

Neil Degrasse Tyson is, surely, a likely, perhaps the most likely, candidate if there is to be a Cosmos 2 - and long overdue, it seems to me.

With all respect to Phil Plait, but I think Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Phil Plait should team up for Cosmos2. They are both such different personalities so that DeGrasse Tyson can be the more serious presenter and Plait can be the comedic relief. A bit like the chemistry between the two Myth Busters.

I'm watching the Collector's Edition of Cosmos this week through Netflix. It's absolutely amazing and a wonderful testament to Mr. Sagan. I'd like to see an updated version of Cosmos with all the things we've learned since the original, maybe presented by Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
