I have just finished watching Brian Cox on volcanoes, Io etc. The influence of the late, great Carl Sgan is so clear. Even the music reminds me of Cosmos. I have watched a lot of astronomy programmes in the intervening years and no-one has carried the enthusiam, no, the Passion that Sagan had like Brian Cox.
Had he been born just 20 years later I would have made a great case for reincarnation!
Fantastic stuff.

*sigh*
Probably the greatest teacher of modern times. How I wish that the molecules he was made of were still combined in a Sagan-esque way.

Thanks, Dr. Phil

I have been re-watching Cosmos over the past few weeks. It always fills me with a sense of grandeur at how amazing the universe is. Then it fills me with sadness when I hear about how some religious culture attempts to crush all knowledge.
